Blundstone continues focus on safety boots

The total economic cost of work-related injury in Australia is estimated to be $61.8 billion a year, according to a report released by Safe Work Australia.

Footwear company Blundstone pointed out that tradies operating in hazardous conditions were facing risks to their health in their everyday environment.

Blundstone is backed by decades of technology innovation, premium design and quality since 1870.

Its safety work boots provide protection against impact and penetration, and resistance to cuts, chemicals, heat, electrical hazards and rolling forces.

Blundstone global head of brand, design and consumer engagement Adam Blake believes the company’s work and safety boot range will remain a cornerstone of the business.

“Our ongoing commitment to Australia’s workforce is harnessed through our work and safety range as we continue to dedicate research and development that enables constant improvement in comfort, protection and performance. Not to mention a great fit and value to match,” Blake said.

“Our boots will work overtime and continue to serve tradies well with features such as water and electrical hazard resistance, and a quick pull on, kick off appeal.”

Blundstone’s work and safety range also provide functional styles including gumboots, lace-up safety footwear for men and women and heavy-industrial footwear.

The #172, #990, #991 and #992 styles have total foot safety and Blundstone comfort.
