Safety companies aid bushfire relief

Protective eyewear company Bollé Safety has joined in the move to ease the impact of the Australian bushfires crisis on affected communities.

Bollé has lended assistance in its line of expertise by reducing the price of fire goggles and pledging $1 for every pair sold until March.

This goes on top of supplying 300 pairs of googles free of charge for distribution among 10 of the most directly affected volunteer firefighter brigades.

Bollé also traded business with Essential Energy North Coast in New South Wales for replacing more than 600 power poles over a three week-period in exchange for a one-off deal on Mercuro safety glasses.

The company encourage its employees to volunteer a day’s paid leave to help a registered organisation in the bushfires aid relief and rebuilding efforts.

“The 2019–2020 bushfire season in Australia has been one of the worst in history,” Bollé stated.

“As the world follows developments from the ongoing fires, Bollé Safety extends its sympathies to the communities that have and continue to suffer damage and loss during this difficult time.

“Bollé Safety thanks the firefighters and volunteers across Australia for their continued efforts.”
