INX Software has agreed to acquire VIX Resources, setting the former up to become the largest global workforce logistics player in the resources sector.
VIX Resources is a workforce logistics software provider known for its site administration and management (SAM) product.
INX stated that SAM’s remote capability would add to INX’s InFlight product for remote workforce logistics management.
Post-acquisition, VIX customers will gain access to an expanded solution platform that does not only encompass workforce logistics management, but also health and safety, training and environmental compliance.
INX chief executive Basil Lenzo said that it was the belief of both companies that their customers would benefit from the partnership of the two organisations.
“Our combined expertise and experiences will drive the innovation and delivery of a cutting-edge workforce logistics management solution for the mining and resources industry,” Lenzo said.
VIX will establish a new Queensland location, while both companies expect to benefit from a wider geographical footprint.
INX’s cloud-based and mobile-capable solutions are used across the mining, utilities and oil and gas sectors with over 700,000 users to date.
