Lifline Easyhire has recently supplied Queensland Rail with a BTS Electric Hydraulic Trailer to solve a working at heights problem.
The BTS Electric Hydraulic Trailer was used to solve a problem of having technicians working on locomotives in remote areas without any protection from a fall.
The unit was used to access key areas across multiple types of rail equipment for repair and maintenance.
The trailer allowed for two workers to access their work areas, while always being attached to an Ikar SRL Rescue winch.
The system allows for each worker to be rescued in the event of a fall by allowing the worker on the ground to either raise or lower the worker to safety.
This system has saved Queensland Rail significant time and money in setting up alternative options and most importantly it provides a complete working at heights solution.
