The 2018 Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference is set to take place from August 19–22 in Gold Coast. Embracing the theme, ‘Recognising opportunities together’, the event will see up to 700 delegates from the industry in attendance for four days of workshops, presentations, trade displays, a conference dinner and two sets of awards — one for innovation and another for health.

Key speakers announced for the event include Sean Brady, managing director of Brady Heywood, Kate du Preez, Office of the Commissioner for Mine Safety and Health, Andrew McMahon, chief executive officer of MATES in Mining, and Steve Flanagan, chief aircrewman for RACQ CQ Rescue and several more.
