Sandvik boosts safety with new Toro LH410

Sandvik has lifted the safety performance of the LH410 loader with the introduction of the Toro LH410, building on the strength of the former.

The Toro LH410 underground loader boasts a new retrieval hook, updated door interlock, improved access ways and new  fire suppression systems for better safety.

Compatible with AutoMine solutions, which are systems for autonomous and tele-remote operation, Sandvik has proven committed to creating intelligent loaders with the Toro LH410.

It has a 10-tonnes payload capacity, high ramp speeds, fast bucket filling and highest lift height compared with any other loader of the same size.

Sandvik product line manager small and low profile loaders, Kimmo Ulvelin, said with all its features, the Toro LH410 was truly an advanced and intelligent piece of equipment, comparable to the large i-series loaders but in a smaller package.

“We want to offer our customers possibilities for sophisticated and intelligent equipment also in the middle size class; and therefore Toro LH410 has the same Sandvik intelligent control system as the large Toro LH517i and Toro LH621i loaders, with the available traction control, operator speed assist and integrated weighing system, to name a few,” Ulvelin said.

The Toro LH410 loader can be powered with a range of diesel engines including the fuel-efficient Tier II and Stage V options.

Its engine brake also provides operators with better control of vehicle speed downhill while minimising brake and transmission overheating.

Sandvik stated that there would be further product launches and upgrades within the Toro family this year.
