Superior safety on every shift with Nivek Industries

Grounded in the need for safer onsite servicing, Nivek was created with one powerful goal: to protect the people doing the heavy lifting.

That mission kicked off in 2011 with TED, the Tracked Elevating Device that has aimed to transform how mining and earthmoving machinery can be serviced.

Designed to reduce manual handling and remove the need to work beneath suspended loads, TED serves as a mobile, mechanical lifting assistant that takes the weight of heavy jobs.

Featuring remote control operation, all-terrain capabilities and versatile attachments, this low-profile scissor lift minimises the hazards of heavy component handling – even in the tightest spaces.

Over a decade later, Nivek’s range continues to expand, empowering workers with equipment that responds directly to the physical demands of Australia’s toughest sites.

Big TED, the larger evolution of the original TED, delivers greater lift capacity, reach, and stability. Lifting loads as heavy as 3000kg with up to two hours of continuous operation, it’s purpose-built for heavy bulky components and complex tasks.

Also standing out in the Nivek range is the LA40. The Lift Assist arm packs plenty of capability in its compact design. Built to be mounted on a mobile stand or the front of the TED, this simple system gives teams a safe way to handle rattle guns, impact drivers and torque tooling up to 40kg.

The result? Less musculoskeletal strain and fatigue.

“There are some well-documented links between fatigue and serious accidents, particularly in high-risk industries,’’ Nivek Industries general manager Derrick Cant said.

“We’re hearing from fitters and safety people that the fatigue reduction they’re experiencing using the system is huge.”

This feedback is at the core of Nivek’s approach. Founded by Kevin Cant, a professional diesel fitter, the company’s innovations are driven by the first-hand experiences of those with real time on the tools.

Today, the Nivek team actively engages with customers in the field, listens to what’s needed, and applies practical engineering to deliver those solutions.

“It’s incredibly valuable to us to have so much feedback from engineers, fitters and safety personnel, the people who will ultimately be using the system,” Cant said. “This gives us the parameters to work within and get the design right straight up, meeting some pretty tough criteria.’’
