Surf Life Saving is Australia’s major water safety, drowning prevention and rescue organisation.
As a movement, Surf Life Saving has been keeping Australia’s beaches safe for over 110 years.
In addition to the work on our beaches, Surf Life Saving is one of the fastest growing providers of accredited First Aid training in Australia.
Surf Life Saving New South Wales (SLSNSW) (RTO ID: 90394) offers Nationally Recognised First Aid Training covering all Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
SLSNSW provides on-site training, public courses and all first aid/safety equipment for the workplace or home.
Since its inception in 2004, the SLSNSW has trained over 640,000 people (servicing the New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory community).
This includes the delivery of over 147,000 first aid certificates, 316,000 CPR certificates, 36,000 emergency care certificates, 15,000 people trained in asthma and anaphylaxis and 12,000 junior school students trained in junior first aid and basic resuscitation.

First Aid and the delivery of flexible, engaging and customised training and assessment is core to the vision of SLSNSW’s training operations.
SLSNSW is passionate about teaching the skills to save lives.
“We are a dynamic, capable and professional training organisation who puts the needs of our training clients at the forefront of all program delivery,” Surf Life Saving stated.
“We are committed to developing every aspect of our training and use the latest training tools and equipment including interactive classroom and gaming technology. This allows participants to experience CPR in real-life situations.
“We use Little Anne QCPR manikins which allow our instructors to deliver CPR training more effectively. This technology gives a fun and engaging training environment for participants by providing real-time feedback on depth of compression, release rate and ventilation.”

One in five Australians will experience a mental illness in their lifetime.
SLSNSW is now delivering the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) – Standard two-day course as authored by Mental Health First Aid Australia, delivered by instructors who are accredited by MHFA Australia.
