Industries have been affected by COVID-19 in many different ways. Shortages of protective personal equipment (PPE) have made it difficult to obtain supplies for not only healthcare workers, but also those who wear PPE for protection against other hazards.

There have also been significant logistical challenges in sending workers to remote worksites without access to healthcare and conducting health screening assessments.

Join Cority’s Roberta Smith, Golder’s Mike Woods and Rio Tinto’s Fiona Greenhalgh as they discuss the COVID-19 landscape, what current occupational health screening strategies might be available to employers, and address some of the unique challenges and possible solutions in non-healthcare industries, including risk communication and worker management.

Fiona Greenhalgh, superintendent of occupational hygiene at Rio Tinto and a Cority customer, will discuss how to ensure that the PPE employers obtain is equivalent to Australian standards and will effectively protect workers against hazards.
