Workplace Health and Safety Show attracts thousands

Safety show

This year’s Workplace Health and Safety Show was a major success, with over 5500 safety professionals packing out the Melbourne Convention Centre last week.

Exhibitors and visitors came from across the country to take part in Australia’s largest showcase of technology, products and services to keep workforces and work environments safe.

They took advantage of over 40 hours of content, from seminars to workshops to live demonstrations – as well as networking opportunities with others in their field.

Pru Giagtzis, senior facilitator and investigator for ICAM Australia, said she was delighted with the interest they had received from attendees.

“The event has been fantastic, we’ve had a really good response,” she told Safe to Work. “We’ve been overwhelmed because it’s been so busy, which is great.”

Giagtzis said the safety show gave the company a big platform to showcase their offerings, especially within the mining industry.

“We were able to highlight that our business conducts ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) training, and how we train people on how to use the ICAM methodology to investigate an incident,” she said.

“We’re also incident investigators so if an organisation has a serious incident and they would like some independence in investigating that, they would call us.”

There was also a buzz around Body Armour’s stall, where company director Toni McQuinn was encouraging the crowd to try some of their hydration supplements and vote for their favourite.

“This is my first year at the event and I’ve found that what’s great about this show is that it brings people from all different types of industries together so we’ve engaged with so many attendees,” he told Safe to Work

“We’ve been able to give them a taste of our electrolytes range which comes in three formats.

“Our biggest point of difference is that we don’t use any form of artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.”

The Workplace Health and Safety Show now travels to Sydney, where it takes place from October 22–23, and Brisbane, where it takes place from March 25–26, 2026, before returning to Melbourne on May 20–21, 2026.
